Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this aligned with the Alberta curriculum?

Yes. Every session is built around the Alberta diploma format and weighting. We focus on the concepts that carry the most marks — including written response, numerical response, and multiple choice patterns specific to Math 30-1, Chemistry 30, and Biology 30.

Q: Do students receive materials?

Yes. Every student receives structured notes and practice questions written in Alberta diploma style — not generic handouts. Materials are included in the course fee.

Q: What if I can't attend one session?

We strongly recommend attending every session, as each builds on the previous. Students who attend all sessions consistently get the best results. If you anticipate missing a session, contact us in advance and we'll do our best to help you stay on track.

Q: Is this for struggling students only?

Not at all. Many of our students are already performing well but want to maximize their diploma score. The diploma tests specific skills — written response structure, time management, exam-style questions — that aren't always emphasized in class. Even strong students benefit significantly.

Q: How much can diploma prep improve my child's final grade?

Significantly. The diploma is worth 30% of the final grade — so even a modest improvement on exam day moves the needle. A student at 74% school mark who scores 85% on the diploma finishes around 78% overall. That difference can affect university admission and scholarship eligibility.
